My Biography

08 Jun 2025

For over three decades, I practiced as a well-known ophthalmologist and facial reconstructive surgeon — respected for my honesty, precision, and no-nonsense approach. I managed a thriving hospital, raised two wonderful children, and served thousands of patients with compassion — all while silently enduring years of emotional, psychological, and physical abuse at home.

After thirty years of marriage, I finally found the courage to leave my spouse. I walked away not only from a toxic relationship but also from the city I had called home and the successful career I had built. I chose instead to begin again — in a completely new, distant place — to reclaim my peace, freedom, and self-worth. That’s where I discovered the healing power of art.

Art became more than a passion — it became my sanctuary, my therapy, and my voice. I now devote myself fully to painting, crocheting, crafting and nurturing creativity, not just in myself but in others.

A few years ago, I faced another challenge — a sudden diagnosis of breast cancer. With early detection, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, I recovered fully and emerged stronger, more grateful, and more committed to living with purpose. I am always happy to offer strength and support to others navigating the fear and uncertainty of this illness.

Today, I live a peaceful, fulfilling life in the company of my loving children and granddaughter — who moved back from the U.S. to be near me — and my two happy Lhasa Apsos, whose presence brings me daily joy.

I am deeply committed to empowering women and educating girls, believing this to be the most powerful path to lasting change. I donate 50% of all proceeds from my artwork to two NGOs: one supporting underprivileged girls’ education, and another helping women rebuild their lives after abuse. I also contribute in other hands-on, meaningful ways.

“I didn’t just rebuild my life — I wove it into art.”
